Matt and Carmen - LINE Hotel Wedding in Los Angeles, CA
Carmen & Matt’s wedding in Los Angeles was a joyous and memorable day! They infused their wedding day with traditional and cultural elements that were important to them such as wearing traditional Chinese attire and celebrating their holy matrimony at a Catholic Church. I helped Matt & Carmen plan this wedding day from the very beginning and we finally saw it all come together in the end.
The LINE Hotel was the perfect venue for Carmen & Matt. The wedding party and guests checked-in to the LINE Hotel for the wedding festivities and stayed comfortably in the modern industrial chic rooms. The rooms were beautifully decorated with trendy light fixtures and modern furniture. We chose the LINE Hotel for it’s nice decor, the location in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, and the delicious food! Carmen and her bridesmaids got ready with hair and make-up in their rooms before heading down for the First Look.
Carmen and Matt had their First Look at the Gramercy Garden at the LINE Hotel. Carmen looked absolutely beautiful in her fit and flare lace dress. Her hair was in an elegant updo that allowed her stunning earrings to shine. Matt looked equally sharp in his black tuxedo. The bridesmaids wore long, burgundy red dresses. Floral bouquets and boutonnieres, provided by Cindy from A Touch of Lavender, were the perfect organic accent to the wedding day outfits.
It was just a short walk next door to St. Basil’s Catholic Church where Matt & Carmen said their I do’s. Afterwards, the wedding photographer, Jason Tran, led the newlyweds around Koreatown in search of unique photo opportunities. I think the photos turned out great, don’t you?
You can see the Chinese character for Double Happiness in Matt & Carmen’s wedding photos as well as on the gift boxes that they gave as favors to each guest. The beautiful florals really played a large role in making everything look so elevated and romantic. The florals included red and pink roses, red dahlias, blush pink spray roses, light pink stock, white lisianthus, and eucalyptus. There are dashes of gold in the photo frames, floral vases, and candle votives.
After a delicious meal and speeches, guests enjoyed a very special performance. Carmen and Matt made another grand entrance in the Chinese traditional clothing and delighted everyone by singing a duet in Chinese. Matt also surprised Carmen with another serenade, it was super sweet!
Finally, it was time to party on the dance floor and dig in to the dessert display! Congratulations again to the newlyweds, Carmen and Matt!
